Reporting a bug? Include your device, the app version, and the TURN and SEED shown on the end-of-run screen. The same seed always plays the same, so with those two numbers your run can be replayed exactly.

How to play

The same battle runs in three lanes, the timelines. Tap an enemy in any lane to strike it. The strike lands in full in that lane and echoes down the same column in the other two, so enemies lined up in one column all take a hit at once. The lane you tap holds still for that turn; the other two advance. An enemy that reaches the gate on the left takes one heart from that lane. A lane with no hearts left collapses and the run ends; tap to start the next one.

Settings

Tap the gear at the top right, or use the end-of-run screen. Five toggles: sound, haptics, screen shake, reduced motion (fewer particles, no hit-stop, no shake; it follows your system setting on first launch) and ranking (sends finished runs to the anonymous leaderboard). The same screens have Leaderboard, New run and Daily run.

Common questions

No sound on iPhone?
Check the ring/silent switch. In this version the silent switch mutes the game's audio, like a web page.
The hints disappeared.
The five one-line hints show during your first run only. Reinstalling the app, or clearing its data, brings them back.
Does the game save my run?
Yes. If you leave mid-run, the app resumes at the same turn, score and hearts when you come back, with a RESUMED tag.
Does it need an account or a connection?
No account, and the game plays offline. A connection is used for the leaderboard, ads, gems and purchases; runs finished offline are ranked the next time you are online.
Is my name shown on the leaderboard?
No. The leaderboard is anonymous: it shows scores, turns and times, never names. Your own runs are marked YOU only on your device. See the privacy policy.
How do I stop sending my runs?
Set Ranking to OFF on the pause screen (gear, top right) or the end-of-run screen. The app then stops sending your runs. Ads, gems and purchases still use a connection: see the privacy policy.
How do I remove ads?
Buy Premium in the SHOP, opened from the gem counter at the top left of the start screen or the shop icon on the pause screen. It is one purchase, and it removes all ads and the daily limit on gems earned in play. There are no ads in your first five runs, or while you play; a reward video only plays if you choose it.
How do I earn gems?
By playing: daily goals, new ranks and medals earn gems, up to 100 a day (a new limit starts at 00:00 UTC). A medal you have earned glows until you tap it to claim its gems; if today's limit is reached, it waits until the next day. Optional videos give extra gems. Gems you buy have no limit. The EARN tab in the SHOP shows it all.
How do I change my ad choices?
In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, use PRIVACY CHOICES in SETTINGS. On iPhone, you can also change tracking in the phone's Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking.
I bought Premium, but it isn't showing.
Tap RESTORE PURCHASES in the SHOP, signed in to the same Apple or Google account. If you delete and reinstall the app, your gems, icons and Premium normally come back by themselves. On a new phone they move across with your phone's backup or transfer; if they don't, RESTORE PURCHASES brings back Premium, with your gems and icons. Without Premium, gems can't be recovered that way.
What is the daily run?
Everyone plays the same battle for the day (UTC). Play it as often as you like; your best counts on the TODAY board.
Is the enemy timing random?
Spawns are paced, not rolled: the schedule is fixed for a given seed, so luck never decides a run. The seed is shown on the end-of-run screen.
